The eZ Accelerator was designed and developed by Novactive and is in final certification by eZ Systems. Already deployed in production on some sites, such as Sport 24 whom was elected site of the month of September 2011 on ez.no, this extension allows you to connect your eZ Publish to seperate instances of Varnish. It allows a cache invalidation of Varnish directly to the publication of any content without slowing the time of publication and managing all the specifics of eZ Publish as multisiteaccess the PathPrefix or the StaleCache.

In more technical terms, the extension interfaces completely in the cache system. It includes facilities for handling ESI, which can meet all known problems with the static cache of eZ Publish. The expansion also brings new buttons and access to a new tab in the interface to monitor the health of Varnish and can empty a particular object in the ReverseProxy (different graphics available) It requires a minimum of eZ Publish 4.5 and adapts to any installation, clustered or not. The expansion will be available in eZ Market for mid-October. Varnish-Software partners in this venture, we are confident that this extension will become a standard because it significantly increases the power of eZ Publish, serving high traffic sites.
